Broken Jeremy

Hi all this is Jeremy taking over from Jeanette for a little post. If you are all wondering why I'm sporting the stylish new foot wear, I decided that I wanted to spend time behind a desk instead of at a station so. Yea its broken, and to top it off the doc said its called a Jones fracture, named for the guy that broke his foot in this place. The part that is broken is the bone on the outside portion of the foot. It in the thickest part of the bone and in the part of the foot that gets the least amount of blood flow. So it will take a long time to heal. 6-9 weeks. Ain't it cool. You are probably wondering how it happened. Well, we were in a structure fire on a rescue with reports of people trapped. I was half way into the building when we heard a rumbling. I dove forward to escape the collapsing roof. I wasn't fast enough so my left foot was smashed by some falling debris. I got to my knees freed my foot and continued with the rescue. Cool Story huh? What really sucks I made up that story to cover the lame truth. I really did it running at work. Stepped on a rock the wrong way and there you have it. What makes things worse is that it was broken for a week and I didn't know it. I thought it was just sprained until I was at work again and took a step to run and felt a pop. So for 2 weeks now Jeanette is the only able bodied adult in the house and she can't wait for my foot to get better.

Hi Guys,
This is so cool. Bree is so cute. I might have to start one of these for me and Janay. Kiss the baby for me.

Lots of Love,
Auntie Sherri

Oh man I am sorry Jeremy. And Jeanette - i totally feel your pain. Dan had knee surgery when Ben was an infant. ANd Dan was just gone for 2 weeks on training and I had Ben all by myself with another little toddler I baby sit. NOT FUN! You learn to really appreciate all the help the hubby gives! And I learned to not be such a perfectionist with the house cleaning, and once we ordered take out quite often. :) Hang in there you all!
Leah :)
