Emily Faith Cross

So Emily has arrived!!! She was born May 16 at 1:53 am 7 pounds 2 oz and 19 3/4 inches long. She is doing very well and is very sweet. I am so looking forward to her and Brianna being able to play someday although I know I should treasure these little newborn and baby moments because they do go so fast. My labor was pretty interesting as my contractions started the Monday before and then on Thursday night I went from 6 minutes apart to 5 and then a few minutes later they were 3 minutes apart. Now the funny thing is I guess when we went to the hospital for Brianna I probably wasn't in "labor" as I thought I was. Oh no I really felt the pain this time and have no idea how people get through it without an epidural. I think you have to be mentally prepared not to have pain meds. So after I received the epidural things were great. No pain woohoo!!! My labor went I think pretty fast I think all together about 8 hours and the delivery was perfect. Last time I was in pain for weeks and this time I was barely in pain at all. It is much easier to take care of a newborn when you are not in pain and can move. So we are all doing fine Jeremy is proud of his little girls and is the best husband and father ever. Brianna loves her little sister also and is already singing to her and loving on her.

Past Due

My due date was May 10Th and of course that has come and gone. Yesterday I did start having contractions and the were every hour for about 4 hours and then progressed to every half hour for about 9 hours and then just stopped. There are really strong but nothing is progressing and it is getting frustrating. So now they are back but no consistency just very painful. They are not Braxton Hicks which is no pain and goes away. So hopefully tonight I will really go into labor instead of my body playing tricks on me.
Here are most of the boys of the family one of Jeremy's brothers are missing but these are his dad, brother, cousins and uncles. This was the day of Jeremy's grandma's funeral. She past away a week prior to this day which was 3 weeks ago. She had lung cancer and died peacefully with Brianna singing Jesus loves me to her and all of us around her bed at home.

New Car

Well we have been needing a family vehicle for a long time. Well since the day we took Brianna home from the hospital. Its like you don't know sometimes what you need until something changes. Well lets just say that our truck is not a family vehicle and it has been a pain in the booty to have as a family vehicle. We didn't get the truck to be "the family" vehicle when we decided to get it but we figured that it would be just fine when we did start a family. So anyway we knew we were going to need something more practical. So I did a bunch of research on gas mileage, room, and cost and found 4 cars we liked. It was between the Ford Edge, Nissan Altima, a Mazda van, and the Toyota Camry. So we chose the Camry we loved the Edge but gas mileage just didn't cut it and it was the same room as the Camry. Oh and what got us to go out and get it was that morning he went to put the baby car seat in the truck and his seat had to be pushed so forward he could barely drive.
